I want to know what happens when i file a case on husband and in laws on domestic violence.

It is weakest enactment as such nothing will happen if you file such Domestic Violence case. They will engage advocate. The only benefit you may get is interim maintenance after few months. Better file complaint with Police under Section 498A of IPC.

If you file a DV Case against your inlaws and husband for cruelty, then you can seek protection order, monetary relief order, child custody order and residence order.
If your inlaws and/or breach the terms of the order, then it is a punishsble offence which attracts imprisonment and/or monetary penalty or both.
