Neighbour not allowing us to construct home Neighbour not allowing us to construct home

I have a plot. I have the approval from government. I am constructing my home within my plot area as per the approval. But the neighbour is forcing us to leave 1feet on our area and doesn't want us to construct the home. We filed a complaint to police station, the police also questioned the neighbour for what is their issue when we are constructing as per approval within our plot. Neighbours are telling some lame answers like the approval is fake and not correct and all. They are also threatening us to not to complain to higher authorities.
What should I do?

Review Documents: Ensure that you have all the necessary legal documents in place, including the plot approval and building plans. If your construction is in compliance with these documents, it strengthens your case.

Mediation: You can explore mediation as an option to resolve the dispute. A mediator can help facilitate a conversation between you and your neighbors to reach a mutually acceptable solution.

File a Complaint: If your neighbors' actions escalate and you believe they are harassing you or interfering with your property rights, you may need to file a formal complaint with the local police or relevant authorities. Document any threats or incidents for evidence.

Seek a Restraining Order: If your neighbors' actions continue to cause harm or harassment, you may consult your lawyer about seeking a restraining order or injunction to prevent further interference.

Approach Local Authorities: If your neighbors persistently hinder your construction despite legal approvals, consider approaching higher authorities such as municipal or local government officials for assistance. They may be able to intervene or guide you through the process.
