Fortis Hospital Bill related Fortis Hospital Bill related

I admitted my wife to Fortis Hospital bannerghatta road, Bangalore. at the time of discharge, hospital first gave me a bill of higher ward type, for twin sharing and the amount was 142,127/- and after some insurance discount 131,247/-, when I checked, it was corrected and provided me a bill of Rs: 105,067/- and after discount 97,967/-. Further when I check the bill, some of the items were still charged as per twin sharing and then I received a bill worth 97,677/- , where they adjusted amount as another line of IP discount for Rs 290/- as they didn't have an option to correct the bill. Further I tried to verify the bill and found that some of the items were billed, not used on patient, and they provide me a final bill after reducing another Rs 820/- worth 96,857. I have 4 different bills from hospital, just wanted to know if this could be registered as a case against hospital? Regards, Sharad

A.Prima facie it is a fit case for filling against the hospital had you settled the bill in the first instance. Now they have reduced. It is better to scrutinise the bills scrupulously and after satisfying completely to release the payment. After the payment it will not serve any purpose filing case against the hospital.

I settled the bill only after 3rd rectification and not in the 1st instance. and post settlement I found the difference in the estimates and actuals as stated.
