A.Dear Client,
If your PG owner did not inform you about the compulsory six-month stay rule and took a signature from you without providing clear details, you may have grounds for seeking relief under the Consumer Protection Act. The Act protects consumers' rights and interests, including the right to information and transparency. In such cases, you may consider filing a complaint with the appropriate consumer forum. Document all relevant communication, including the agreement and any proof of your attempt to resolve the issue amicably. Consumer forums typically have jurisdiction based on the value of the claim, so ensure you approach the relevant forum. Seek legal advice to understand your specific situation better and to guide you through the process of filing a complaint under the Consumer Protection Act.
Thankyou

A.Dear client,

Whenever you are staying in a rented place or a PG , you have to maintain certain rules and restrictions.
It would be very difficult for you to prove that the signature from you was obtained by coercion.
Still you can speak to him/her for some settlement and also send a legal notice.
It would be difficult to strengthen a case on the basis of the evidences you have.

Thanks

A.Dear Client,
A dispute between a tenant and landlord is resolved under the state-specific Rent Control Act under which a Rent Controller or Addl Rent Controller is appointed to deal with the dispute arising out of a rent agreement between the parties. So, in the prevailing situation, you can file an application explaining your grievance before the concerned Rent Controller to resolve the issue amicably. Reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.
