I lived in a commercial PG property I lived in a commercial PG property

I lived in a commercial PG property for 2 months from 14th May 2022 to 16th July 2022. The monthly rent was 25,000 INR. I have cleared all my dues while vacating the place. Yet, the owner named Nazeer Ahmed and his wife Seema refuse to return the deposit amount of 25,000 INR after multiple requests. They dodge my calls and when I visit, they claim to look into it.

I didn't have a rental agreement but I have all the online transaction records. Can I legally claim my deposit back?

Its unfortunate that they are behaving in this manner. You can send them a legal notice through a lawyer to recover your dues.

A.Dear client,
it is always recommended to have a rental agreement or a contract which binds your stay at a place. Now that you dont have it, you can send them a legal notice with the help of a lawyer and ask them to return your deposit. If not, try complaining it in the nearest police station with the help of transaction details and let them know that you need the deposit amount back as soon as possible.
